In video games, Easter eggs are identified as intentional inside jokes or hidden messages within the game. Sometimes they refer to other video games or media sources, like movies or comic books, that may or may not relate to the game at hand, other times they are completely random. Easter eggs are a toss-up as far as comedic value goes. Often times they are intended to make the player smirk or laugh by make a reference to an internet meme or a fan made inside joke, but sometimes they give you more information about the game or even make references to past games in a series or foreshadow possible future games. In this post I’d like to celebrate Easter the only way I know how, by talking about cool video game Easter eggs! Continue reading Celebrating Easter The Gamer Way – With Easter Eggs!
It seems as if for the past few months most gamers, myself included, have been in somewhat of a gaming slump. Since this year has been pretty bland and slow paced as far as new game releases go, people just don’t know what to do in the down time between games. I personally don’t like the idea of not playing anything at all, so I have come up with a few ideas that have helped me in these “hard times” with the hopes that they will also help you folks out. As gamers we visit an awful lot of fictional lands and far away places. Some of these places are pleasant, fascinating and downright awesome. Others, not so much. Everyone has been to those in-game locations that just give you the heebie-jeebies. The places that you know you would probably die at or at least be permanently scarred from visiting. In this article I plan to share with you a handful of the places that you will never find me planning a vacation to since I value my life and sanity. After childhood I sort of stopped watching television shows. I watched Friends, maybe whatever was on Cartoon Network when I got home from school, and not much else. This carried on throughout my teenage years and into my young adult life. Now, at the age of 24, I find myself in quite the dilemma – I’m actually watching too many shows at once. It’s hard to go from watching nothing to being involved in about five to six television shows all at once, almost all of them having new episodes weekly. This week I’d like to let you all in to my newly found life in the world of television shows, so what have I been watching lately? Continue reading The Gift of Television – What I’ve Been Watching Lately
This week episode two of Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead Season 2 was released for all to enjoy.
